CEREC

CEREC is a dental restoration method, which allows to produce a fully ceramic reconstruction of the anatomical shape of the teeth using several computer-aided technologies, including 3D photography, crown design and fabrication.

This method was developed by Professor W. Mörmann and Doctor M. Brandestini in 1980 at the University of Zurich.

The first patients were treated using this CEREC method at the same university in 1985. It combines the adhesive technique with the ultra-fast creation of inlays, onlays, partial crowns, veneers and crowns (without metal) both frontal and lateral.

The success rate of CEREC restorations is estimated according to the latest clinical studies at 95% over 10 years and 90% over 18 years. It is therefore one of the best current treatment methods in 21st century dentistry.

The CEREC system is constantly evolving. Today, it can be used to create single-unit ceramic reconstructions such as inlays, onlays, crowns or veneers, but also single-unit temporary restorations or up to 4 elements (bridges) in resin.

Dr. Rüdiger Hartmann has been working with CEREC for about twenty years and is a certified trainer for this system. Your advantage: The considerable price reduction comes from the fact that the treatment is done in one session, there is only one anaesthetic and the impression is made with a camera, without impression material.
